What Are Raptor Traction Pads?
Raptor traction pads are your gateway to bindingless powder riding.
Designed for splitsurf and splitboard setups, they allow riders to experience the freedom of powsurf-style riding while still keeping the efficiency of a splitboard for climbing.
Tour uphill with your splitboard, then switch to traction pads for the descent and ride powder without bindings.
If the snow isn’t deep enough (less than ~10 cm of fresh powder), simply throw the pads in your backpack, mount your bindings, and ride your board like a normal powder snowboard.
This hybrid approach opens completely new possibilities for powder exploration and backcountry riding.
Originally designed for the Atlas Hybrid snowboard, we highly recommend using them together, but feel free to try them on your powder splitboard. Just remember, powsurfing needs more setback stance than snowboarding, so the experience will differ. Should you start with your powder splitboard, you can always get the Atlas Hybrid later.
Plates are compatible with Spark, Voile, Burton, Nitro, or similar pucks. Plates are not compatible with Karakoram or Union pucks (yet).
Pads are approximately 26cm long, which makes them the same length as Union L bindings. That means your board has to be at least 27cm wide under the bindings.
Elastic safety safety leash should be attached to touring bracket while powsurfing. (notincluded in the package).
